Rosenthal Million Dollar Challenge
Double Your Donation

Please Donate Today!

Achieved: $464,939.81 --- Goal: $500,000.00 --- 92%

Help us reach the $500,000 goal!

You can improve access to safe drinking water and sanitation facilities --- right now.

Stephen and Sandy Rosenthal believe, as we do, that providing sustainable clean water and adequate sanitation can fundamentally change lives in the developing world. That’s why the Rosenthals have committed a $500,000 matching gift to support Water For People.

The Rosenthals could have simply made a generous donation to support our work. But they know the magnitude of the challenge we’re facing and the impact that every single dollar can make. That’s why the Rosenthals want their gift to go as far as possible --- offering to match every donation to Water for People, up to $500,000, through November 30, 2008.

We first announced this campaign just a few weeks ago, and already we've raised $451,356. With your generous gift, and the Rosenthals’ challenge gift, we can literally change the lives of the people we serve in developing countries including Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Malawi, Nicaragua, and Rwanda.

Thanks to the generous support of more than 1,500 donors, we are less than $50,000 from fufilling the challenge. Can you pitch in to help us reach our goal and turn $500,000 into $1,000,000 before November 30th?

Give now, before November 30th, so that we can double the size of your contribution with the Rosenthals’ matching gift.

Company Overview:
Around the world, 884 million people do not have access to safe drinking water and 2.5 billion are without adequate sanitation facilities. Every day, nearly 6,000 people who share our planet die from water-related illnesses, and the vast majority are children.

Our vision is a world where all people have access to safe drinking water and sanitation; a world where no one suffers or dies from a water- or sanitation-related disease.
Mission:
Water For People helps people in developing countries improve their quality of life by supporting the development of locally sustainable drinking water resources, sanitation facilities and health and hygiene education programs.
