The Trevor Project operates the only nationwide, around-the-clock crisis and suicide prevention helpline for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth. Each year, our helpline fields more than 18,000 calls from LGBTQ youth as well as their families, friends and educators. Every day, The Trevor Project saves lives through its free and confidential helpline, Web site and educational materials.

The Trevor Project is a non-profit endeavor established to promote acceptance for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth and to aid in crisis and suicide prevention among that group.

I'm Glad I Failed

The Trevor Project, in conjunction with National Suicide Prevention Week (September 7-13), is launching a powerful new ad campaign - "I'm Glad I Failed." This effort targets LGBTQ teens who contemplate suicide as a result of homophobia. The primary goals of the campaign are to educate LGBTQ youth about The Trevor Helpline as a resource they can count on; and to open the eyes of heterosexual youth to the life-shattering consequences of being intolerant of and disrespectful toward their LGBTQ peers.

"I am Trevor" is a new series of events designed to expose young business professionals to the work of The Trevor Project and how you can become involved in the organization.

I did a project on The Trevor Project last year in my Womens Studies class at college. The class loved it! I wish I knew of this growing up. Knowing of this now, I do my best to pass this on to the youth.

Helpline Counselor Training

Our volunteer counselors are the backbone of The Trevor Helpline. All potential Helpline counselors are required to participate in a mandatory 40-hour intensive training program, offered quarterly.

RANDY STONE WEST COAST CALL CENTER
