You saw this, right? http://tinyurl.com/5d3nw9 <-- The smell of space. Space has a SMELL? There's something vaguely ominous about that.

Recall it being mentioned that the hub will be revisited. *Has theory* :D

List of things I'd like to see explained- power plant for viper/cylon raider - they fly quite a long time under thrust - what kind of fuel?
Also - how can cylons be impossible to distinguish from humans, yet they have the ability to interface with fiberoptic data links and if their backs glow when they have sex?

This page is about my forthcoming book from John Wiley and Sons -- "The Science of Battlestar Galactica"

The book focuses on the science behind the stories and events that take place on the re-imagined Sci-Fi channel show "Battlestar Galactica". The challenge is that BSG has been called "a science fiction show without the science", and the producers have made it clear that, unlike shows like Star Trek: The Next Generation, they'll never let science get in the way of telling a good story.

This means that any book purporting to talk about the science of Battlestar Galactica has to do so tongue-in-cheek, at least partially. In fact, the scientific inconsistencies of the Battlestar Galactica are so great that we turn to another classic TV show, Mystery Science Theater 3000, to provide us with the First Rule of the Science of Battlestar Galactica:

"Repeat to yourself it's just a show; I should really just relax."
