Hey Terrell! This is what I suggest: along with good grades, do a lot of community service...volunteer for something your passionate about, be as active as you can be in your community. UCLA does not only look at grades but everything you have done. They want to see who you are as an overall person. Also, join and be a part of some clubs at your school too.

Hope that helps!!

Hi, Emil. The UCLA website has lots of information that should help you. You might take a look at the American Literature and Culture program, which might be of interest. Check out http://cis.ucla.edu/studyArea/course.asp?type=MAJ&code=761 for information about that major.

The application deadline is coming up soon, at the end of this month. You can find information about applying to UCLA as an international student at http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/intl.htm

Good luck!
