Symantec buys a SaaS base.

Symantec has agreed to pay around $695 million for MessageLabs, an established and successful UK-based provider of online email spam filtering and anti-virus services. The move represents Symantec buying in help to grow its SaaS business, and is good for both companies.

US anti-virus software firm Symantec has agreed to buy web security firm MessageLabs for $695m (£401.2m). Symantec is keen to expand in the growing cloud of its internet services business.

Are you Naked? Exploits from the latest Microsoft Vulnerability Seen in the Wild Which is worse, being seen naked running down the street or having a vulnerable computer leaving you exposed to attacks from drive-by downloads? It is probably a matter of opinion (or local laws.) Unfortunately, I think people are more concerned about being seen naked than whether they have a computer that is vulnerable. Don’t get caught being exposed by having a vulnerable computer system!
