Answer to Workers' Rights advocates who (very often rightly so) criticize the Dems: Electoral Fusion. New York is the prime example of how it can work, Oregon is looking at it.

wait, it aired on tv during the RNC? Does that mean that viewers thought the Republicans support it? How was it framed?

Don't get me wrong - this is a great piece of legislation for labor; which is why it will never be passed.

Am I being cynical when I suspect that the Dems' outspoken suppn ort for EFCA has everything to do with the fact that they know there isn't a snowballs chance in hell they are going to win the 9 necessary Senate seats to obtain a filibuster-proof majority?? I think if there were a 60-40 split in the Senate, the Dems would be singing a much different tune.

So, in another four years, organized labor can wonder what the hell happened, and we get to go back to our membership once again and justify their hours and hours of knocking on doors for a party that hasn't so much as lifted a fingernail for them, at least dating back 70 years; arguably ever.

Until organized labor starts organizing marches and pressure campaigns on the DNC, as opposed to the RNC, they are going to continue to use our GOTV bodies, and then spit in our proverbial eye after we elect them.

But, woo hoo EFCA
