Company Overview:
Curb Crawlers is a music blog based in Toronto Canada. Our content is largely genre agnostic although after reading the blog for an extended period time, you will likely pick up on common themes and trends within each post.

Our parties take place on a loose bi-monthly schedule and promote getting dumb to bassline music, substance abuse and loose morals.

October 2 5:08pmHouse Is The Cure

Sorry Kids, no free-pee-threes here. Keep reading and you’ll likey understand my reason for holding back.

House Is The Cure, a non-profit organization founded in 2007 has teamed up with one of our favorite labels Front Room Recordings for a recent 12″ that sees 100% of all net proceeds donated to various charities chosen by the artist behind the tune.

Which artist is behind the tune you ask? Front Room label boss Jesse Rose aka Content of course! Backed with a stellar stripped down refix from Radio Slave, The Tribute offers up that chunky big bottom sophisticated style we’ve come to expect from Rose with rib rattling subs, jackin’ drums and a hint of a UK Funky House inspired conga swing making the original killer on the floor. Radio Slave strip things down a bit further with some stark minimalism and moody vibes for added WOW.

Make sure to BUY this single. If you pirate this, you’re pretty much a massive baby eating douchebag.

October 2 2:49pmAcid Life

Our boys Nacho Lovers are set to drop their much anticipated EP on Fools Gold in a little over three weeks. Consisting of the artist tracks Go On and Acid Life the pressing comes backed with remix support from Jokers Of The Scene and Eli Escobar. The digital release will also see an exclusive 909 dub of Acid Life by the Lovers as well.

The forthcoming press melds a love afair with vintage synths, classic Chicago and Detroit sounds and a strong knowledge of what it takes to shake butts in the zero eight. For a sneak peak, a mini mix of the EP can be streamed here.

A bonus from FG too!,   Surkin’s refix of Acid Life will be featured on a compilation dropping later in the month entitled Fools Gold Remixed.  Watch for more gems on the comp from the likes of JOTS, Rusko and
DJ Spinna.

September 30 3:40pmWhere Were U In 92?

Twelve years old, stealing your dad’s smokes and getting pissed in a park on a bizarre mix of scotch, vodka and peach schnapps? Cooler and slightly older English youth were surely popping pills and ironically benefiting from a turbulent market resulting in a surplus of abandon industrial spaces to be used as party venues.

Hardcore was the score, and in 2008, Zomby brings it back again only this time, there’s been 16 years worth of Grime, Dubstep, Bassline and Jackin’ House in pull influence from.

On the surface, the shuffling break, rave stab and air horn fueled long player hardly resembles the dark minimalism found on Zomby’s previous outings on Hyperdub and Ramp. Dig a bit deeper though and one will pick up on similarities (most notably in his quirky and onorthodox production methods) that make Where were u in 92 equally interesting and desirable as his championed Dubstep 12′’s.

September 26 4:38pmSend for the new gun

Dropping Monday morning, Scott Cooper teams up with Colin Barratt under the Natty Jack guise for Wearhouse Music’s 10th pressing. Hopped up on bubbling blines and the rapid-fire lyrical spit of Cutty Ranks, Natty Jack’s Jackin Da Garage is a bona fide dancefloor monster that’s been tearing up bins on dub for months now.

In true Wearhouse syle, the release comes backed with a remix double B side from Hijack and HeavyFeet. Keep things fresh, the versions range from stripped down micro to old school rave stab infested jungle throwback.

Props to the Natty Jack team for offering up a 320 of their unreleased On Hold to the share-a-like community too! It’s becoming a bit rare that we’re sent postable music to help push a release that’s not a chopped up edit or unplayable bit rate.

Well done boys!

After almost 6 months, we checked back in with Douster to find the man busy as a motherfuck cooking up gems that aim to move butts.
Nosebreak, which we posted back in April has been stripped of the unclearable N.E.R.D sample saw an official release on A New Hope Records earlier in the summer.

With just reason, Bombaman’s beats have been finding their way into top tens and tracklists from big shot dj’s around the world lately. No doubt Bomba is loving life recently.
