Company Overview:
Children’s PressLine is a youth news service that trains kids to be reporters and editors who write articles for mainstream media partners. We work with 190 young people every year through on-site programs, off-site Community News Bureaus and our Community + Media workshops. Our methodology is based on a collaborative approach that trains 8-13 year olds as reporters and 14-18 year olds as their editors. Mission:
Our goals are to give young people an opportunity to represent themselves in the media, empower young journalists to use teamwork, leadership and civic engagement to produce content for mainstream news outlets, and train young people to identify important issues and formulate penetrating questions to create compelling stories.
