Apotheosis

In 1997, a group of 10 college students set out on what started as an innocent singing journey... little did they know what lied ahead. These 10 young adults, are about to enter.... The Twilight Zone...

Not really.

But it IS true that they didn't know what they were getting themselves into.

Apotheosis is Greek for "rising to perfection." The first 10 members of the group did not know how to reach this "perfection" and had no idea how popular their creation would eventually become. Back in '97, things were not so easy for the newly-created group, and Apotheosis was far from being the "perfection" the members had in mind. The group was struggling for gigs, and NEVER missed an opportunity to get the name "Apotheosis" out into the public. As members started to graduate and leave the group, auditions were held to fill the open spots. This tradition has been carried on through the years, and the "Apotheosis" that you see today is still striving and constantly working towards the "perfection" that each past and present member hopes it to be.

The group started with 10 members, but has had as little as 6 and as many as 12. Apotheosis is a University-Recognized Student Organization at Texas A&M University, and the group is now well-known and well-loved across the campus. Having released 2 full-length albums, the scope and success of Apotheosis has reached above and beyond any of the original 10 members' dreams. (read less)
