About Me:
I am running for US Senate and having an absolute blast. Everywhere I go-from Nashwauk to Minneapolis, Mankato to Moorhead-- I find huge crowds of passionate supporters. Throughout the campaign, I’ll use my Facebook profile to connect and energize voters from around Minnesota and across the country.

From Hubert Humphrey and Walter Mondale to Paul Wellstone and now Amy Klobuchar and Tim Walz, Minnesota's public servants might not always look and sound like typical politicians--but they stand by their principles and lead by their values. That's the kind of leader I think we need more of these days, and that's the kind of Senator I'll be.

I have been married to my wife, Franni, for 33 years--many of them happy. We are the proud parents of two wonderful children--and my Facebook “friends”--Thomasin and Joe.

Campaigning keeps me pretty busy so I might not always have time to reply to every wall post and message myself. The rest of Team Franken will help me respond to some of these, but I will reply when I have an opportunity. We’ll always let you know who’s writing on your wall or sending you a message.

I cannot win this race alone. Join my Facebook group (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2240413846), visit my website (http://www.alfranken.com), volunteer your time--we’d love to have you on Team Franken!

I hope that you win Mr. Franken! Thank you so much for running for the Senate!

Interesting how Al wants ALL of the votes counted and the status of absentee votes known to the voters, and Coleman wants nothing to do with an accurate recount.

I earnestly hope that Al wins after the recount. Anyone who thinks their vote doesn't count simply needs to remember this election ... and Florida in 2000.

Whatever happens Al, we love ya man. Semper Fi.

This race is the closest Senate race in Minnesota history and the closest race anywhere in the country this year. With 2.9 million votes cast, there’s a margin of roughly 400 votes. It’s too close to call, and we don’t know yet who won.
