For a limited time Abernook Gifts will be selling 2 versions of leukemia awareness bracelets that will benefit the Dear Jack Foundation. The Dear Jack Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to funding cancer research and was founded July 2006 by leukemia survivor and Jack's Mannequin/Something Corporate front man Andrew McMahon.

Choose from our leather bracelet with a sterling silver awareness ribbon or the I believe awareness charm bracelet featuring an orange awareness ribbon. Please go to http://abernook.com/prod/I-Believe-Leukemia-Awareness-Bracelet.asp to see the bracelets.

The Dear Jack Foundation (DJF) has granted permission to Abernook Gifts in connection with sales of the Leather Leukemia Awareness Bracelet for which 25% of bracelets sold go to the DJF. The DJF is not responsible for the administration or conduct of Abernook Gifts and their affiliates.

Sweetest Day is the Third Sunday in October. This year it is October 18, 2008.

Sweetest Day is dedicated to the sweetheart in your life. It is a time to recognize that special someone - whether a husband or wife, girlfriend or boyfriend or young child.

Sweetest Day was founded around 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio by Herbert Birch Kingston. He was a local candy company employee. Herbert Birch Kingston wanted to bring cheer and joy to lives of children living in orphanages, those with illness or disabilities and others often forgotten. He began distributing candy and small gifts.

Whether celebrating the day with a loved one or bringing candy or gifts to children in need, take the opportunity to bring a smile to the face of someone special.

Abernook offers a variety of candy gifts, cookie gifts and small gift ideas that make a perfect gift this Sweetest Day! Go ahead, bring a smile to your loved one!
